Why Homebuyers are Choosing to Live Close to It All in Forest Park at Wildlight

October 6, 2021

Inspired by the Florida Lowcountry lifestyle, the Wildlight community has been thoughtfully designed for living that creates deeper connections to nature, wellness, convenience and most importantly, each other. Our homes in Wildlight boast spacious open floor plans, energy-efficient features, and welcoming front porches – all connected by walkable neighborhood pathways.

Nearing sellout less than a year after starting home construction in Wildlight’s Forest Park neighborhood, Riverside Homes is excited to expand our current offerings in Forest Park by building over 40 additional homes in the second phase. Our thoughtfully designed floor plans will be built on the larger Manor Home lots that offer desirable preserve and lake views. Features such as high ceilings, sweeping front porches, expansive lanais, and large windows will highlight the spirit of the original Florida and the surrounding lush landscape.

Small-Town Charm, Big-City Amenities

We believe it’s the little moments of each day that add up to a life well lived. From quiet solo hikes along miles of trails, to bonding with the kids over ice cream cones, to joining the festivities at a community event, there are so many opportunities to seize each moment in Forest Park at Wildlight.

Wildlight residents enjoy an idyllic way of life in a natural and playful environment with small-town charm, big-city amenities, planned community activities and a low cost of living. The Forest Park neighborhood is surrounded by parks and walking trails but also conveniently close to Wildlight Elementary School, the YMCA and Waterbug Park. Approximately half of Wildlight’s total acreage is preserved for conservation, with bike trails, bike lanes, parks and wetlands putting nature close at hand and providing abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation.

As part of the Wildlight HOA, residents enjoy a variety of community events organized by a dedicated Lifestyle Director.

Feel Your Best and Live Well

Health and wellness are the cornerstone of life in Forest Park at Wildlight. The community’s unique alliance with the University of Florida and UF Health has set the stage for a healthy community with comprehensive medical facilities and a YMCA. In addition, the community offers a system of trails and pathways intended to make it healthy, walkable and connect it all together.

UF Health Wildlight has two health care facilities in the community — one is an outpatient medical office building and the other offers rehabilitation services connected to a YMCA.

At the 40,000-square-foot-medical-office building on William Burgess Boulevard, dentistry, family medicine, imaging, laboratory services, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry and an urgent care center are offered.

UF Health Rehabilitation – Wildlight offers adult and pediatric rehabilitation services, including physical and occupational therapy and speech language pathology, and a healthy living center. The new facility includes 5,000 square feet of rehabilitation space to provide specialized, one-on-one care, along with a 25,000-square-foot YMCA. With beautiful wooded views, the new facility features floor-to-ceiling windows to help create a peaceful setting for patients. Licensed UF Health therapists offer customized treatment plans to support therapy needs following injury, conditions diagnosed at birth, developmental delays, recovery from surgery and illnesses. One-on-one sessions last a full 45 minutes to address any concerns and help meet the needs of our patients. Therapists also work with patients to create a supplemental home exercise plan for long-term management of their conditions.

And don’t forget about the YMCA! From fitness classes to summer sports camps, the First Coast YMCA at Wildlight offers a wealth of programs for adults and children. One of the biggest benefits of the new YMCA is its convenient, walkable location. Forest Park at Wildlight residents can literally live and walk right across the street from the YMCA and then go out on the community’s miles of scenic nature trails. Everything is integrated in Wildlight.

With access to the most advanced health care and rehabilitative services possible, all alongside a fantastic YMCA that offers the most complete and innovative fitness resources possible, Wildlight residents have endless opportunities to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. Healthy living starts here!
