Meet Our Riverside Homes Sales Agents Series – Get to Know Russell Sykes

At Riverside Homes, we value our Sales Agents who work tirelessly to assist homebuyers in finding their perfect Riverside Home. From getting to know their family’s lifestyles and how they want to live in their new home, our Sales Agents build solid relationships on a deep and personal level with our customers.

We thought it would be fun to get to know them better through a series we are calling Meet Our Sales Agents! The last team member we are shining a spotlight on is our newest addition to the team, the charismatic Russell Sykes. Russell is currently our agent in Amelia National Golf and Country Club and Amelia Walk and is assisting homebuyers with building their new homes.

Question: How long have you worked for Riverside Homes and what do you enjoy most about your role at Riverside Homes?

Russell: I’m Russell with Riverside Homes and I’m the new sales counselor at Amelia National and Amelia Walk. I’ve been in the real estate industry now for almost 20 years and have spent the majority of my career working with builders. The most enjoyable moments that I have in this industry are making connections with my clients and assisting them with building their dream home.

Question: What does your ideal day in Amelia National Golf and Country Club look like?

Russell: The perfect day at Amelia National would be starting the morning early enough to beat everybody out to the links to get a round in before the sun got straight overhead. That way you can get back to the clubhouse to have a nice lunch and maybe even jump in the pool and hang out on the pool deck for a little while. Then I would go back to the house to relax for a little while and have some friends over for drinks and dinner on the lanai overlooking the preserve.

Question: How would you describe your job to a bunch of five-year-olds?

Russell: I would describe what I do to a group of five-year-olds by telling them that we start with a dream or we start with what memories you would like to make. Would that be a birthday party? Would that be a cookout overlooking the lake? Would that be a Christmas morning with children running downstairs? We try to build a home around how you picture living in your home.

Question: What is something you are looking forward to this year?

Russell: I’m looking forward to being a father this year. I have a son that is due on November 24, 2021. It will be my first born and obviously my first son. That is something I’m looking forward to and extremely excited about.

Question: What is your most memorable moment while working at Riverside Homes?

Russell: My most memorable time with Riverside Homes would have to be the day that I went to orientation after being hired. I got a chance to really meet the team and get to know all the different members individually. What I can say is every one of them is an all-star in what they do and highly professional. It was just an eye-opening experience to walk into somewhere that has that kind of talent in such a small bunch.
