The Great Outdoors Just Got Greater: Wildlight Announces New Planned Outdoor Amenities

June 29, 2022

Ready, set, nature! At Wildlight, they don't call it "town in nature" for nothing. Half of Wildlight is dedicated to trails, parks and wetlands. With nature close at hand, the community offers abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation. Here, kids can walk—or take a trail—to top-ranked schools. Shops, a daycare, restaurants and more are right down the street—including a brand-new Publix. Waterbug Park pool keeps you cool. The YMCA and UF Health keep you well. Community events keep neighbors connected. And even more is coming.

The great outdoors just got greater. Riverside Homes is proud to share that new parks, ponds, trails and more are planned for Wildlight and set for completion in 2023. Here's a sneak preview of the three new outdoor amenities coming for residents to enjoy:

Coin Toss Park
From tennis to pickleball, sand volleyball to basketball, Coin Toss Park has your favorite sports covered. And with two event lawns, this will be the perfect spot for community-wide events. There will be climbing structures for kids to promote agility and burn pent-up energy as well as an off-leash area for dogs. Golf cart parking will be available for those who prefer to get there on four wheels.

Four O’Clock Park
Little  known fact: Four O’Clock is a type of wildflower that will be planted  in this park. But the name is about more than that. It’s also about the  feeling of freedom that comes with the end of a school or workday — when  you have time to workout or  just relax. And Wildlight residents can do just that here, thanks to a  hammock grove, fitness area, trails and a pond overlook.

Whistling Duck Pond
Wildlight took a cue from this spot’s namesake, and made it a relaxing place to spend lazy days on the water. Whether you want to take a kayak out onto the pond, walk on a surrounding trail, or sit on a bench and listen to the quiet calm of the gentle waves, Whistling Duck Pond is the ideal place to do just that.

Our Riverside Homes team can’t wait for these parks to be complete — and we’re even more excited for residents to enjoy them. Ready to make the move to Wildlight?

Home prices for the Forest Park at Wildlight community start from the $500s with floor plans ranging in size from 2,350 square feet to 3,717 square feet.
