Meet Our Riverside Homes Sales Agents Series – Get to Know Laurie Harrison & Marnee Oehmann

June 2, 2021

At Riverside Homes, we value our Sales Agents who work tirelessly to assist homebuyers in finding their perfect Riverside Home. From getting to know their family’s lifestyles and how they want to live in their new home, our Sales Agents build solid relationships on a deep and personal level with our customers.

We thought it would be fun to get to know them better through a series we are calling Meet Our Sales Agents! Next in our series is the dynamic duo of Laurie Harrison and Marnee Oehmann. Laurie and Marnee are currently our agents in Amelia National, Amelia Walk and Wildlight and are assisting homebuyers with building their new homes.

Question: How long have you worked for Riverside Homes and what do you enjoy most about your role at Riverside Homes?

Laurie: I have had the privilege of being a part of the Riverside Homes family for three and a half years now. I feel blessed to work for a company that genuinely cares about not only its customers but also its employees. I am one of the New Home Sales Consultants in Wildlight and am fortunate to have Marnee Oehmann as my partner. One of the things I love most about my job is building relationships with customers and helping them find the perfect homesite and home plan to fit all their needs and wants.

Marnee: I service Wildlight along with Laurie and have been with Riverside Homes now almost five years of my 15-year career of new home construction sales. I particularly enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families to find just the right home that meets all their needs and wants so that everybody has a place to live in the home. Wildlight along with so many of our other communities truly can offer some great family-friendly activities as well which really adds to the overall appeal and lifestyle of living in a Riverside Home.

Question: What does your ideal day in Wildlight look like?

Laurie: My ideal day in Wildlight if I lived here would consist of walking or riding my bike on the nature trails, then heading up to Cold Stone Creamery for an ice cream with Marnee. I would then head to the neighborhood YMCA to workout and after hangout at the pool or head home to enjoy the tranquility of being able to sit around my fire pit overlooking the preserve. That would be what an ideal day in Wildlight looks like to me!

Marnee: For me, my ideal day in Wildlight would definitely include walking up to the Farmer’s Market on the weekend to look at the local art and buy some fresh vegetables and fruit. Then I would want to enjoy a nice evening with my family because I’m all about family time! We would sit out on the covered lanai where we would roast marshmallows beside the fire pit and listen to some good music while enjoying the sounds of nature and seeing a little family of deer. Now that’s a perfect day in Wildlight!

Question: How would you describe your job to a bunch of five-year-olds?

Laurie: I have young grandchildren so I am well versed with communicating effectively with the little ones! I would probably tell them that I help their mommy and daddy find the perfect home where they can grow up, make memories and play with their friends. All they most likely will hear is “play with their friends”. Who can blame them!

Marnee: When I talk to my kids (ages 10 and 12) and their friends, they ask me a lot of times what I do for a living. How I try to explain my job to children is that I show people different types of homes to help them find the perfect place to build their home on. I assist families in picking out everything from deciding whether to have one or two sinks so that brothers and sisters don’t have to share, all the way to the picking out the exterior paint color of the house. Choosing these personalized touches help to ensure a house becomes a home for the whole family.

Question: What is your most memorable moment while working at Riverside Homes?

Laurie: One of my most memorable moments while working with Riverside Homes would have to be with my partner, Marnee. We like to dress up and visit our realtor community. On one occasion, we were dressed up as a Bunny and Chicken in Downtown Amelia Island. Later that day we ran into a lady who had caught us in action crossing the street and showed us the picture she took of us! I have to say, Marnee and I are quite memorable as Riverside Homes Sales Consultants.

Marnee: I would say my most memorable moment was when I met Laurie. I just knew that she had the same values I did and that we would be successful in helping individuals find just the right home, a Riverside Home, to come home to and be happy in every day.
