Meet Our Riverside Homes Sales Agents Series – Get to Know Cindy Walters
May 19, 2021
At Riverside Homes, we value our Sales Agents who work tirelessly to assist homebuyers in finding their perfect Riverside Home. From getting to know their family’s lifestyles and how they want to live in their new home, our Sales Agents build solid relationships on a deep and personal level with our customers.
We thought it would be fun to get to know them better through a series we are calling Meet Our Sales Agents! First up is our longtime Sales Agent, Cindy Walters. Cindy is currently our agent in Nocatee and is assisting homebuyers with building their new homes in the Settler’s Landing at Nocatee neighborhood.
Question: How long have you worked for Riverside Homes and what do you enjoy most about your role at Riverside Homes?
Cindy: I have been with Riverside Homes since the very beginning so almost going on a decade now.
It has been so fulfilling to see us blossom from a very small intimate builder to building in various new home communities all over the Northeast Florida region. I am so excited and proud to be a part of such a wonderful company that has a stellar reputation as a well-respected builder in the community.
One of my favorite things about what I get to do with Riverside Homes on a daily basis is interacting with our customers and listening to their needs. It’s important to learn and understand what their desires are for their family’s new home. Helping them find that perfect match is one of the best and most fulfilling parts of my job. Getting the opportunity to do this each and every day makes me so happy. I am so thankful for all of the families that I have had the privilege to serve and so many that have become like family.
Question: What does your ideal day in Nocatee look like?
Cindy: I actually live here in Nocatee in the Freedom Landing neighborhood, and in a Riverside Home of course! It also happens to be my third Riverside Home so I can speak from experience about what it’s like to live in the master-planned community of Nocatee and what my ideal day would be like here because I do it on a daily basis.
In the morning, I love to go for a nice long bike ride. You can ride miles and miles on golf cart paths and through different trails and never be on the main roads. Then if it were my day off, I might go hangout at one of the pools and enjoy some of the food and beverages at the splash park and spray park bar and grill area. After, I would follow it up with Food Truck Friday which is one of the most popular things to do in Nocatee. That is how I love to spend an ideal day in Nocatee!
Question: If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be and what is something you are looking forward to this year?
Cindy: If I could learn a new skill immediately it would be dance choreography because I am getting married this summer and I would love to put together a choreographed dance for the wedding. My wedding is definitely something that I am looking forward to this year. Starting a new life and having all my family come visit to celebrate the joyful occasion will be very special to me.
Question: How would you describe your job to a bunch of five-year-olds?
Cindy: If I were describing what I do for my job to a five-year-old, I would tell them that I help people build their houses. They probably think my job is sitting in the model home, where I live, and saying hi to people who come in the door all day.
Question: What is your most memorable moment while working at Riverside Homes?
Cindy: My most memorable moment with Riverside Homes over the years goes back to the very beginning. For a time we were meeting at Starbucks, meeting with customers in conference rooms at the community’s clubhouse, and even in people’s cars. Then fast forward to the grand opening of our first model home The Wheaton in Durban Crossing. Being able to showcase and work out of that model was such a huge milestone not only for for me personally but also for Riverside Homes as a company. That by far is my most memorable. There have been so many along the way but if we didn’t start there we wouldn’t be here!
