Six-Time Winner: Riverside Homes Continues to Lead as a ‘Company with Heart’
February 20, 2026
At Riverside Homes, we believe building strong homes starts with building a stronger community. This core value is woven into the fabric of our company culture, guiding every decision we make. That's why being recognized for the sixth consecutive year as a ‘Company With Heart’ is an honor that resonates deeply with our entire team.
This prestigious award highlights businesses that make a meaningful impact through philanthropy, volunteerism, and community support in Northeast Florida. With only 20 businesses selected, our Riverside Homes team is incredibly proud to be among those recognized for making a difference in the community we call home.
Following last year’s well-received celebration aboard the USS Orleck, this year’s venue, The Florida Theatre, continued Jacksonville Magazine’s tradition of showcasing uniquely Jacksonville locations. Our New Home Sales Consultants, Trisha Ziemba and Michelle Dubourt, had the pleasure of attending the event and representing Riverside Homes.
"You could feel the collective passion for making the First Coast a better place. It’s one thing to hear about companies doing good work, but it’s another to see everyone come together to celebrate that shared purpose. It makes you proud to be part of a company that truly values giving back,” expressed Michelle.
Leading with Purpose and Generosity
Beyond delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality home designs, our success is measured by the positive impact of our community and social responsibility efforts. We believe that doing business the right way means doing it with heart. This principle has been our compass, directing our efforts to create a lasting, positive legacy in Northeast Florida.
The philosophy of "Building with Heart" lies at the very core of Riverside Homes. Owners Matt Roberts and Chris Wood have built a company culture centered on service—not just to homeowners, but to the greater Jacksonville community. Their leadership has guided Riverside Homes to actively support numerous organizations that make a real difference in Northeast Florida.
Making a Difference on the First Coast
Riverside Homes' true impact comes through actively supporting and partnering with a handful of local organizations. As a team and as individuals, our company donates generously both monetarily and with volunteer hours to a wide variety of causes, including: Inheritance of Hope, Rethreaded, Builders Care, The Healing Hearts Project, Hunger Fight, Melanoma Research Foundation, Best Buddies, Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), and Davidson Cares.
Since 2019, Riverside Homes has supported Rethreaded by providing a significant matching gift of $30,000 during their annual birthday fundraising celebration. Inspired by Rethreaded's mission to renew hope, reignite dreams and release potential for survivors of human trafficking locally and globally through business, Riverside Homes is honored to be a part of helping women sew a new story. In addition, Riverside Homes uses Rethreaded products for all corporate gifts, further supporting the organization's mission and empowering survivors through meaningful employment. Chris Wood, through his role on Rethreaded's Band of Brothers Advisory Board, has become a dedicated advocate for victims of human trafficking and has directed Riverside Homes' ongoing support for this transformative cause.
"One of our favorite partners is Riverside Homes. They are an amazing advocate for us and have enabled us to do more than we could have imagined to help survivors," shared Kristin Keen, Rethreaded Founder and President.
Building a Stronger Community, Together
Celebrating alongside some of the First Coast’s most generous and community-driven businesses as a ‘Company with Heart’ is both humbling and inspiring. It serves as a powerful reminder that when companies lead with purpose, the entire community benefits.
This continued acknowledgement fuels our dedication to building a stronger community, and we are grateful to our team, partners, and homeowners who share in this mission
“The annual Companies With Heart Luncheon brings together a diverse group of organizations, all united by a shared belief in corporate social responsibility. To stand among these local leaders for six years running is a milestone we are incredibly proud of,” shared Chris Wood, Riverside Homes co-owner.
